VACANCY: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, BAVIAANS MUNICIPALITY, WILLOWMORE
The Baviaans Municipality invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the abovementioned position.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A relevant B degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Registration with a relevant professional body
- Sound experience of GRAP and the MFMA
- At least 5 – 8 years’ proven senior managerial experience and leadership ability within the financial environment (preferably as CFO)
- Knowledge of Local Government Finance

- Financial Management challenges and reporting
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Strategic support and insight on fundamental financial management challenges
- Developing, implementing and managing strategies which will impact positively on the financial performance of the municipality
- Ensuring the accurate execution of municipal functions in compliance with relevant legislation
- Overall accountability for all revenue and income, assets and intergovernmental funding
- Compiling financial statements and applying budgetary control measures
- Performing statutory duties and exercising delegated authority
- Supply chain management, ratings, tariffs and financial viability monitoring
- Identifying and implementing elements of the IDP and the SDBIP within the department
REMUNERATION PACKAGE: Negotiable
