VACANCY: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, BAVIAANS MUNICIPALITY, WILLOWMORE

 

The Baviaans Municipality invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the abovementioned position.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • A relevant B degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Registration with a relevant professional body
  • Sound experience of GRAP and the MFMA
  • At least 5 8 years proven senior managerial experience and leadership ability within the financial environment (preferably as CFO)
  • Knowledge of Local Government Finance

  • Strategic support and insight on fundamental financial management challenges
  • Developing, implementing and managing strategies which will impact positively on the financial performance of the municipality
  • Ensuring the accurate execution of municipal functions in compliance with relevant legislation
  • Overall accountability for all revenue and income, assets and intergovernmental funding
  • Compiling financial statements and applying budgetary control measures
  • Performing statutory duties and exercising delegated authority
  • Supply chain management, ratings, tariffs and financial viability monitoring
  • Identifying and implementing elements of the IDP and the SDBIP within the department

 

 

REMUNERATION PACKAGE: Negotiable
